This sheet also includes a door and window schedule to facilitate purchase and may contain other details helpful to the construction process.
Sheet A-3 Foundation Plan
The foundation plan includes exterior foundation dimension and details to reflect the intent of a foundation design. Frequently Asked Questions
Do the plans comply with building codes?
The plans are developed according to generally accepted building practices and in general compliance with residential building codes but are not warranted or guaranteed to meet any particular set of codes and standards.
Since the plans can be purchased and used to build a home in many different jurisdictions having many different soil types and climates, specific framing member sizing, energy efficiency measures etc are left to a local building professional and engineer.
Jurisdictions that will require an engineer’s stamp for a foundation or roof framing design, for example, will require that engineer to be licensed in that jurisdiction.
May I build more than one house with the plans I purchased?
The license for plans purchased from HomesteadHousePlans.com allows the purchaser to build one home from each plan set purchased. The plans may not be transferred or sold to a third party and may not be used to construct a second home either by the original purchaser of a subsequent purchaser.
