Hi there, I’m Lee Moore (the design engineer behind HomesteadHousePlans.com) and this is my family – minus a few new grandchildren!
Our family has lived in eighteen houses over the past forty years, and not a single one of them ever really fit our needs.
For example, we had plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms but no place to store our home canned goods. Instead, we had canned goods on shelves in the dining room, over the washer and dryer and in our closets! True story.
Our fourteen-top dining table barely fit into a room built for a six-top. We had no counter space in the kitchen and my ninety year-old father-in-law couldn’t climb the stairs to his bedroom any more. We even remodeled, but it still wasn’t enough.
We knew there had to be a better way.
After speaking with other homesteaders, we knew we weren’t the only ones facing these problems. So, I decided to use my 40 years of experience as a design engineer, who has built multiple homes from the ground up, and do something about it.
That’s when HomesteadHousePlans.com was born.
Since then, we have been dedicated to helping people just like you find homes that are actually built for them.
Are you ready to get started?
